History

With a combined 60 years of industry experience focused mainly on local whole produce distribution, Bryan Herr and Sam Petro joined forces in 1999 to form Country Fresh, Inc. The men had realized through separate Houston-based processing endeavors the enormous potential of the burgeoning value-added-fruit market. Their knowledge, experience, and innovation quickly placed the company as the cut-fruit leader and earned the men the reputation as pioneers of this segment.

From its beginnings with one processing facility and 20 employees in Florida, Country Fresh, Inc. has grown to multiple facilities, hundreds of employees, and national distribution to some of the largest and best retailers in the country.
